blog, blog, blog

what good is a blog if you don't use it...

my life recently became highly unproductive. that's right, football season is here. i feel directly responsible for the success of the Dallas Cowboys. so i spend a great amount of time monitoring their situation. (don't tell my management)

when i am not dorking out on football, i am playing a ton of music in austin and around the country. the past six months has been very busy for me, the band, and my show.

my band "Wilson" has played a steady flow of local Austin gigs as well as many private parties. a sincere "thank you" goes out to all of those people who have attended our shows and have allowed us to entertain you.

"Wilson" will be traveling to palm springs, ca at the end of this month. we will be headlining a major corporate function. in addition, we will be sharing the stage with some really talented musicians. i'll blog again as we get closer. stay tuned.

i have just completed the second stage of production of "My Baby Grand". this is a show that i began writing and producing about two years ago. we will be showcasing the show beginning in oct. if you are in the austin area, check in with me. maybe we will be performing the show. we are currently looking at some dates. we are all extremely excited about how cool this thing is. (if i may say so myself)

today i was cleaning my back porch. i decided to get rid of some old hornet's nest hanging from my roof. one of the nest had two little guys buzzing around it. i thought, "how much harm can two little hornet dudes cause? and besides, they are at least 5 feet away. AND, i am right by the back door."

well, let me tell you. within a second (yes, 1 second) of bulldozing their 1 bed, 1bath... STING!
right in the EYE! $%&&*^ and &^%$@!.

after 6 hours, a trip to the clinic, pain killers, steroids, ice, whataburger combo 1, and a canceled gig, i think i can see the light at the end of the tunnel. (literally)

so far, i am blogging once a year. i'll try to change that.

love,
matt
